CROSS COUNTRY NEWS

FARMINGTON INVITE The Stark County Rebels Boys and Girls Cross Country teams started their season on Monday (August 26) at the Farmington Invite. The Rebels Girls finished 2nd overall on the Girls side. The Girls had 3 runners earning medals for finishing in the Top 15. They were Senior Olivia Frail (3rd - 20:10), Sophomore Ashley Orrick (11th - 22:18) and Freshman Paige Rewerts (13th - 22:31). Rounding out the scoring for the Girls ere Junior Trinity Shimmin (17th - 22:39) and Junior Alyssa Dyken (19th - 22:57). Also competing for the Girls were Junior Lena Becker (25th - 23:22) and Junior Sarah Fairfield (36th - 26:55). In the Boys race, the Rebel Boys finsihed 4th overall. Two Boys were in the Top 15. They were Sophomore Alex Welch (10th - 18:53) and Sophomore Payton Stahl (15th - 19:36). Also scoring for the Boys were Junior Caden Daum (17th - 19:54), Junior Brett Browning (30th - 22:17) and Freshmen Riley Bowen (44th - 23:53). Payton Stahl's time was his PB (Personal Best).
